DETROIT - The Wayne State University men's tennis team (6-4, 3-0 GLIAC) finished off their weekend sweep of GLIAC teams from Ohio with a 6-3 win over Ohio Dominican at the Multi-Purpose Indoor Facility.
Doubles again were strong for the Green and Gold as the Warriors grabbed a commanding 3-0 lead behind dominating play in the third flight from
Jason Chen (Rochester Hills, Mich. / Rochester Adams) and
Thomas Ducret (Paris, France) 8-1.
WSU would take the two, three and four spots in singles play to lock this one up behind straight set wins from
Mohamed Fazyl Kechai (Paris, France / Martin Luther King), Ducret and
Melvin Joseph (Northville, Mich. / Northville ) respectively. Joseph would have the closest match at fourth singles with his 6-2 7-6 win.
The Warriors will hit the courts next at Lake Superior State on Friday as they complete their Upper Peninsula road trip.
