Big Rapids, Mich. - A big fourth quarter comeback was not enough for the Ferris State University women's basketball team as the Bulldogs dropped a 66-57 road decision on Thursday (Feb. 17) night at Wisconsin-Parkside in Kenosha, Wis.

The Bulldogs held an 11-8 lead after a low scoring opening period of action and maintained the lead much of the first half before the Rangers closed with a strong finish to take a 10-point halftime lead. After a back-and-forth early third period, UWP again closed in a big way and held a 19-point margin going into the final frame.

In the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs turned up the defensive pressure and narrowed the gap down to single digits several times, but could not finish off the comeback in falling to 17-8 overall and 11-6 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) standings.

The Rangers moved into a tie for third-place in the GLIAC with FSU following the contest as both teams are now identical in league play at 11-6 and are only one game behind second-place Wayne State with three games to play in the regular season.

Senior guard Adrienne Anderson led the visiting Bulldogs with a team-high 20 points while junior center Chloe Idoni added 18 points and nine rebounds. However, no other FSU player totaled more than seven points as the Rangers garnered the triumph.

The Bulldogs were limited to 33.3% shooting and finished only three-of-25 (12.5%) from long range in addition to 12-of-18 (66.7%) at the free throw line.

The host Rangers turned the ball over 23 times with most coming in the final quarter, but did manage to outbound the Bulldogs by a 45-30 count for the game. UWP shot 44.4% from the field and went six-of-23 (26.1%) from beyond the three-point arc to go with a 12-of-14 (85.7%) effort from the charity stripe.

Parkside was led by Hannah Plockelman with 20 points. Sheridan Flauger added 15 points and Alyssa Nelson scored 12 total points.

Ferris State will play its final regular-season road game of the year on Saturday (Feb. 19) as the Bulldogs visit Purdue Northwest for a 2 p.m. (ET) league encounter in Hammond, Ind.
