Zach Girard (Sleepy Hollow, Ill. / Dundee Crown) gave the Green & Gold the lead with a two-run single into center field.
A hit-by-pitch and a throwing error jump started a two-run rally in the top of the fourth inning and Troy Daring, Jr. (Brampton, Ont.) took advantage with an RBI single up the middle. Following a sac bunt and a walk,
Jacob Finkbeiner (Saline, Mich) gave Wayne State a 4-1 lead with a sac fly to left field. An RBI single in the top of the fifth inning gave WSU a 5-1 lead and
