Ferris State Pulls Away For Fourth-Straight Win By Completing Weekend Sweep

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's basketball team capped off an unbeaten road weekend and stretched its winning streak to four consecutive games with 74-55 win over Wayne State on Saturday (Jan. 21) in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play at the WSU Fieldhouse in Detroit.

The Bulldogs jumped in front 39-31 in the opening half and outscored the Warriors 35-24 over the final 20 minutes to garner the win, moving to 15-5 overall and within a game still of the GLIAC lead at 6-3 in conference play.

FSU was paced by Solomon Oraegbu's team-high 18 points and seven rebounds in the victory. Junior Ben Davidson added 12 points with Mykel Bingham producing 11 points in the win. FSU also got 10 points from Amari Lee off the bench.

The Bulldogs owned a decisive 50-31 rebounding margin and FSU shot 47.5% overall from the floor in the triumph.

Wayne State was led by Avery Lewis with 18 points. Carmelo Harris chipped in 10 points overall. The Warriors dropped to 7-9 overall and 4-5 in the GLIAC with the loss.

Ferris State will host Michigan Tech on Thursday (Jan. 26) night at Jim Wink Arena starting at 7:30 p.m. (ET).
