Women's Tennis Posts Big Win Over Saint Anselm College

Sheila Snyder collected her 400th career victory.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- The Wayne State University women's tennis team (5-4 overall) helped head coach Sheila Snyder collect her 400th career victory by defeating Saint Anselm College (4-11 overall) 7-0 on Sunday afternoon.  She is the 11th coach to reach 400 wins all-time. 

SINGLES
Anais Ruyssen (Nantes, France) made quick work of her opponent, collecting a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles. 

Marta Komar (Inowroclaw, Poland) wasn't far behind her at No. 2 singles, earning a 6-0, 6-1 victory. 

Linda Liong (Sarawak, Malaysia) also posted a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles.

Following her, Sabrina Laynes (Saginaw, Mich. / Heritage) swept her opponent, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 6 singles. . 

Suki Mandair (Dexter, Mich. / Ann Arbor Skyline) was strong at No. 5 singles, recording a 6-0, 6-1 win. 

Finally, at No. 4 singles, Laura Cazacu (London, England) won, 6-0, 6-1. 

DOUBLES
Cazacu and Teodora Radu (Ramnicu Valcea, Romania) didn't take long to post a win, defeating their opponent, 6-0, at No. 3 doubles.

Following them were Ruyssen and Komar at No. 1 doubles.  That duo earned a 6-1 win. 

At No. 2 doubles, Brianna Douglas (Dayton, Ohio / Chaminade Julienne) and Laynes won, 6-3. 

UP NEXT
The Warriors will hit the court again on March 14 against Palm Beach Atlantic.  That match is set to begin at 3 PM in West Palm Beach, Fla.
