Preview: Laker Women's Basketball Set for Pair of Road Games in Ohio

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - The Lake Superior State women's basketball program (0-2) is set to travel for a pair of games in Ohio.  They will face the Ursuline College Arrows on Thursday, Nov. 17 before taking on the Lake Erie Storm on Saturday, Nov. 19.

The Arrows enter the contest after splitting their opening two games at the GLVC/G-MAC Challenge in Hillsdale, Mich. They are currently averaging 58.5 points per game, but they have been able to get after their opponents on the defensive end, forcing an average of 23 turnovers per contest. 

The Storm have also opened their season with a 1-1 record after falling to Le Moyne and defeating the Clarion Golden Eagles. Offensively, they have scored an average of 71.5 points per game, featuring a 27 point performance from Abby Matalavage in their most recent contest. Matalavage and Sydney Wyndgarden have also combined to form one of the top scoring duos in the G-MAC so far this season.
