PUEBLO, Colo. - Concordia-St. Paul (2-1) set a new program record with 25 goals, defeating Adams State (0-2) 25-1 on a cold Tuesday afternoon at Gonzales Stadium on the campus of Colorado State University, Pueblo. The Golden Bears remain on CSU-Pueblo's campus for the next two games, facing the hosts on Thursday and Fort Lewis on Saturday.
Concordia's previous team record for goals was 23, on two separate occasions and once in each of the last two years. The 24-goal margin of victory is also a new program record, topping the team's 23-0 win over Northland in the inaugural game on February 10, 2017 at home in the Concordia Dome at Sea Foam Stadium.
In the win, 16 different players registered points as the team set another single-game record with 40 total points, topping the 37 against Northland with the aid of a record 15 assists. The offensive game was set-up on the draw with a team record 21 draw controls.
The win was an ultimate team effort as no individual records were broken. Freshman
Hannah Distad led the team with six points, scoring three goals with three assists while making her career debut. Junior
Kaci Reid also had a five point effort, matching Distad's three assists and adding a pair of goals. Junior
Maddie Hentges added a hat trick while seven others had two goal games to give CSP 10 players with at least two goals. Sophomore
Erica Peterson, the team's early season scoring leader, had a four point game with a pair of goals and assists, giving her five goals and three assists on the year through three games.

Margot Coomes with two goals and an assist and freshman
Sara McNicoll with a goal and two assists.
It was sophomore
Lexi Stanley who led the team's record-breaking effort on the draw, scooping up five as CSP held a 21-6 advantage on the draw. Sophomore
Lex Seifert added three and contributed a two-goal performance. Five others had two draw controls.
Defensively, CSP had a 15-6 advantage in caused turnovers, limiting the Grizzlies to just one successful clear in 19 attempts while Concordia executed all five of its clears. Six different players had a pair of caused turnovers while junior
Alina Boyce and freshman
Anne Colwell each had four ground balls. Boyce also dished out two assists while Colwell had a goal and an assist. They helped lead the team to a 26-9 margin in ground balls.
In the final tally, Concordia outshot Adams State 40-4, with all four Grizzlies shots coming in the first half against sophomore
Claire Hagen who only needed to make one save. She allowed the lone goal and secured the win in the net. Junior
Katie Lottsfeldt played a shutout second half although she did not face a shot.
Concordia also received a boost with depth as sophomore
Lexi Dahl made her season debut, firing a pair of shots and securing a ground ball.
Adams State's goal was scored by Madison Gerchow in the 24th minute of the first half. She also led the team with five draw controls. Louisa Sanchez made eight saves while taking the loss after playing all 60 minutes in net.
