KENOSHA, Wis. -- The Cardinal Men's Basketball team won its fifth straight game, using a career-high 33 points from Myles Belyeu to claim a 74-66 win at Parkside on Saturday (Jan. 4) afternoon.

The victory moved the Cards to 9-3 overall and 4-1 in the GLIAC. Parkside is now 6-7 overall and 2-3 in league play. The victory by SVSU snapped the Rangers' 16-game home winning streak.

Saginaw Valley had an impressive start on the road, jumping out to an 11-2 lead after a triple from Darnell Hoskins Jr. The Rangers would eventually tie the contest up at 27-27 and lead by a 31-27 count at the halftime break.

The Cardinals bounced-back in a big way in the second half, however, using a Belyeu three-pointer with 11:37 left to give the visitors a 44-41 edge. SVSU would build a lead as much as 13 points (68-55) after another Belyeu long ball with 3:22 showing on the clock and eventually close-out for the eight-point win, 74-66.
