Oilers End Season with 26-7 Win at Walsh

The University of Findlay football team ended their season with a 26-7 win over Walsh University on Saturday, Nov. 10 in Canton, Ohio to finish the season with a 7-3 record.

Senior running back Monterae Williams capped his terrific career with 37 carries for 187 yards and four touchdowns.  He ends the season with 1,348 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns, the third highest single season total in school history.

Williams, the Oilers all-time leading rusher with 4,660 yards, ends his career with a school record 980 carries.  His 50 career touchdowns are also the second highest total in school history.

Senior quarterback Clay Belton added 149 passing yards and another 49 yards on the ground and finishes the year with 2,334 passing yards, the most in school history.  He also caps his career with a total of 4,473 passing yards, the second highest total in school history.

Junior tight end Jaryd Brown caught five passes for 88 yards while sophomore safety Harold Jones-Quartey led the defense with 12 stops.

Senior linebacker Brandon Butler and senior defensive end Josh Kloepfer added nine and seven tackles, respectively, while sophomore corner Feraris Golden ended the year on a high note with two interceptions.

Head Coach Rob Keys also begins his career with back-to-back winning seasons, the first time an Oilers coach has done that since By Morgan accomplished the feat during the 1963 (7-3) and 1964 (9-2) campaigns.
