CENTRAL, S.C. - Due to excessive rain and unplayable field conditions at Childs Field on the campus of Southern Wesleyan, officials were forced to cancel Thursday's non-conference women's lacrosse game against Concordia-St. Paul.
The Golden Bears will now close out its 2018 spring trip at Wingate University in Wingate, North Carolina this Saturday with a noon start at Graham Field. Wingate is off to a 1-3 start to the 2018 season, falling last night 9-8 at home to Mount Olive. The Bulldogs are 0-3 at home on the season while Concordia sports a 2-0 road record on the year and 2-1 overall, coming off wins at Tusculum and Mars Hill.

Kailey Heinl and freshman
Raelyn Korinek who are tied for third in the GLIAC with eight goals each while sophomore
Maddie Hentges is tied for second in the league with four assists. Freshman goalie
Claire Hagen leads the league with a 66.7 save percentage while sophomore goalie
Katie Lottsfeldt is third in the GLIAC with 14 saves.
As a team, Concordia is fifth in the country and leads the GLIAC with 27.0 ground balls per game and 16th among DII programs with 8.0 assists per game.
