SAULT STE MARIE, Mich. - The Lake Superior State University Men's and Women's Tennis teams have a full schedule of events in the next week as the team makes its annual spring break trip. The Lakers will take on Hillsdale College on Saturday, March 4 in Hillsdale, Mich. before heading to Hilton Head Island, S.C. for a week of matches at the Professional Tennis Registry's Spring Tennis Fest. 

Both the men's and women's teams will be competing every day of the weeklong trip. On Monday, March 7, the men's team will match up against Salem University, a Division II program based in Salem, W.V. while the women's team will play the University of Tampa. Both matches are set to start at 8:30 a.m. at the Hilton Head Beach & Tennis Resort.

The Lakers will play the Marian University Knights on Tuesday, March 8 at 8:30 a.m. at the Hilton Head Beach & Tennis Resort and will follow with a match against the Lewis University Flyers on Wednesday, March 9 at 8:15 a.m. at Hilton Head High School. 

On Thursday, March 10, the Lakers will match up against the Barton College Bulldogs at 8:30 a.m. at the Van der Meer Tennis Center. Lake Superior State will close out the trip against the Ashland Eagles on Friday, March 11 at 12:30 p.m. at the Hilton Head Beach & Tennis Resort. 

Through four nonconference matches this spring, the men's team holds a 1-3 record with the win coming on Friday, Feb. 4 against Cornerstone. The women's squad has totaled a 1-1 record this spring winning a match at Lawrence Tech on Saturday, Feb. 5.
