Five Different Cardinals Score in 5-0 Win at SCSU

SAINT CLOUD, Minn. – The Saginaw Valley State University men's soccer team picked up its second road win of the weekend, topping Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference newcomer Saint Cloud State University on Sunday.

SVSU scored three in the first half and added two more after the break, with five different Cardinals finding the back of the net in a 5-0 victory. The win moves SVSU to 6-2-0 overall and 3-1-0 in the GLIAC.

Alex Gloshen got the scoring started with his second of the season on an assist from Danny Barlow in the 21st minute. After Barlow made it 2-0 on a penalty kick goal, Brady Walker made it 3-0 just before the half with his fifth of the season on an assist from Chidie Nnolim.

Tom Worm netted his second of the season early in the second half with Walker getting the assist, while Gloshen set up Joshua Rubin in the 86th minute for his first of the year.

Callum Harley picked up the win in goal for SVSU, making two saves for the shutout. The Cardinals outshot the Huskies 17-6.

SVSU remains on the road for its next five games, starting against Purdue Northwest at 3 pm Friday in Hammond, Ind.
