Ferris State Basketball Teams Sweep Lake Superior State On The Road

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's basketball squads went on the road Saturday (Feb. 18) and swept the Lake Superior State Lakers in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play at Bud Cooper Gymnasium in Sault Ste. Marie.
The FSU women earned a 75-67 win over the Lakers in the opening game of the twin bill, moving to 15-10 on the year with the triumph. Senior Chloe Idoni paced the Bulldogs with a game-high 25 points in the outing while the trio of Grace Sullivan, Kenzie Bowers and Elle Irwin all added 13 points apiece.
Meanwhile, the Ferris State men's team held onto a share of first-place in the GLIAC standings, beating LSSU 72-58 in the finale. Sophomore Solomon Oraegbu tallied a game-best 38 points in the victory as FSU improved to 21-6 on the year.
The Bulldogs will close out league regular-season play on the road next week, visiting Davenport on Thursday (Feb. 23) and Grand Valley State on Saturday (Feb. 25).
