Bulldog Women's Tennis Wins Decisive Victory Over Saginaw Valley State

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis squad concluded Great Lakes intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) regular-season action with an impressive 6-1 win over Saginaw Valley State on Friday (April 22) at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center.

The Bulldogs improved their home mark to 6-1 on the year and moved to 10-7 overall along with 5-3 in the GLIAC with the victory.

FSU swept the doubles round and captured five of the six singles positions in notching the win.

Ferris State honored former head coach, the late Eddie Luck, with a special court dedication prior to the contest and celebrated Senior Day at the conclusion.

"It was a great day for Bulldog Tennis and an awesome start to the day with a very touching ceremony where we named court one as Eddie Luck Court," said FSU head coach Mark Doren.

"It was also Senior Day and all four of our seniors won their matches," he added. "A big shout out to Saginaw Valley State and their coaching staff for being so understanding with the warmup period being paused for the ceremony."

The Bulldogs will next head to Midland for the GLIAC Championships set for April 29-May 1 at the Midland Tennis Center. Official pairings and matchups will be announced by the league office soon.
