2022 Davenport Preview

Davenport volleyball enters season No. 4 under head coach, Brian Netzler, in the fall of 2022. The Panthers were picked to finish fifth by the league's coaches in the preseason poll and are coming off a season in which they went 16-12 overall, which includes a GLIAC mark of 7-7.

DU returns 10 players from the 2021 roster that saw playing time including AVCA Honorable Mention All-American outside hitter, Hayley Kreiger, Second Team All-GLIAC libero, Kenzy Corstange, and 2020 Honorable Mention All-GLIAC middle blocker, Emmy Webb. Also back are Stephanie Kalinowski (libero), Emma Turnquist (outside hitter), Nicole Odeen (setter), Abby Welke (outside hitter), and Quinn Coppess (middle blocker), each of which appeared in at least 15 matches a season ago. Those 10 are among 20 Panthers, the largest roster Netzler has had since taking over the program.

Davenport will kick off the 2022 season with four matches on Aug. 26-27 in Florida as part of the Flagler Saints Invitational. The Panthers' league opener will be at Michigan Tech on Sept. 9 and they'll make their 2022 home debut on Sept. 16 against Saginaw Valley State.
