Northwood's Jandron, Wayne State's Conti Gain GLIAC Baseball Player of the Week Accolades

GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced weekly baseball awards following week two of the 2018 campaign. Wayne State senior JT Conti earned GLIAC Baseball Player of the Week honors, while Northwood senior Tyler Jandron captured Pitcher of the Week accolades.


PLAYER OF THE WEEK - JT Conti, Wayne State

Wayne State senior JT Conti was hot to start the 2018 season, going 6-for-8 in Sunday's doubleheader with five RBI as WSU split with Kentucky Wesleyan in Florida. Conti recorded three hits in each contest, scored two runs and slugged .875 in the first contests of the year for the Warriors.


PITCHER OF THE WEEK - Tyler Jandron, Northwood

Northwood senior Tyler Jandron tossed a complete-game, two-hit shutout in a 6-0 win over Lewis Sunday. He struck out 13 while walking one in seven innings of work. It was the fourth shutout of his career, which gives him the Northwood school record. Jandron has a 1.32 ERA through two starts this season.
