Eagles, Warriors and T'Wolves earn NCAA Baseball regional berths

ASHLAND, Ohio - The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular-season and tournament champion Ashland baseball team earned the No. 1 seed in the Midwest Region and will host the top bracket of the regional tournament Thursday through Sunday at Kent State's Schoonover Stadium.

The Eagles (41-11) will play No. 8 seed Tiffin (24-29) at 3:30 p.m. No. 4 Northwood (33-19) and No. 5 Bellarmine (32-19) meet at 7 p.m.

In the other bracket, played at Illinois-Springfield, No. 3 Wayne State (32-18) takes on No. 6 Quincy (32-18) at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. No. 2UIS (37-14-1) faces No. 2 Drury (30-23).

The winners from Ashland and UIS will play in the NCAA Super Regional the following weekend.
