Davenport's Buchberger & Wayne State's Brown Garners NCBWA All-America Honors; Three Named Honorable Mention

NCBWA -- Davenport's thid baseman Jacob Buchberger, and Wayne State's pitcher Hunter Brown were named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) All-American Third Team on Wednesday (May 29) while Northwood's Nick Palmer and Chris Slavik from Ashland earned honorable mention recognition.

Davenport's Buchberger batted .429 this season with 78 hits in 182 at-bats. He scored 54 runs and also drove in 40. He collected 12 doubles, three triples and eight home runs while slugging .659 and reaching base 49.8 percent of the time. 

Wayne State's  Brown posted a 2.21 earned-run average this season in 85 innings pitched, posting a 14-3 record on the season. Brown allowed opponents to hit just .203 against him as the St. Clair Shores, Mich. tallying up 114 strike outs on the year.
