GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its third weekly baseball awards of the 2022 baseball season. Wayne State redshirt senior Chris Tanderys was selected as GLIAC Baseball Player of the Week, while Purdue Northwest sophomore Noah Burgh earned pitcher of the week honors.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Noah Burgh, Purdue Northwest
Noah Burgh (Warsaw, Ind.) pitched six shutout innings in his first collegiate start to lead Purdue Northwest in a 5-0 win at Southwest Baptist last Friday. The sophomore right-hander struck out a career-high six batters and scattered just two hits in the Pride’s first win of the season. Burgh cracked the rotation after making six relief appearances in his freshman campaign last season. He’s the fourth member of the PNW baseball program to earn GLIAC Pitcher of the Week in school history.
