place-kicker Stefan
Terleckyj (Warren, Mich./Warren Mott) is one of
42 kickers in the nation who was honored as one of the top
performers for the month of September by the Fred Mitchell
Committee.
Terleckyj was one of 18 NCAA Division II kickers honored for the
opening month of the season. He began the season on the
Mitchell Watch List with the recipient of the Fred Mitchell Award
being chosen based on excellence on the football field and in the
community.
After five weeks of the 2011 campaign, Terleckyj is second in
scoring among GLIAC kickers at 8.8 points per game. He has
made 26-of-27 extra point attempts, and six-of-seven field
goals. His 85.7 field goal percentage is tied for the highest
in the conference among those with at least six attempts, while his
26 made extra points leads the GLIAC.
The Warriors own the nation's longest winning streak at nine games
(along with Washburn and Colorado State-Pueblo) and host league
rival Lake Erie College at noon this Saturday at Adams Field.
