Ferris State, Grand Valley State Remain Highly Ranked in Super Region Three

GLIAC -- The second NCAA Division II Football Regional Rankings of 2018 have been released and two Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) football programs are ranked inside the Top 10 led by Ferris State at No. 1 followed by Grand Valley State third.

Ferris State welcomes Davenport on Saturday for a chance to clinch the outright league title, while Grand Valley State hosts Ashland Saturday night. 

The top seven programs in the region at the end of the regular season will qualify for the NCAA Division II Football Playoffs with the No. 1 seed will receiving a first-round bye. Super Region Three consists of schools from the GLIAC, the Great American Conference (GAC), the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) and the Mid America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA).

Ferris State is ranked No. 2 nationally in the latest AFCA Division II Coaches' Top 25 Poll released Monday morning. Grand Valley State remains No. 9, while Ashland is listed in the others receiving votes category. Davenport was listed in the others receiving votes category.
