GLIAC -- Another exciting season of GLIAC Football is poised to get underway, with five teams kicking off the 2022 campaign on Thursday, Sept. 1. The opening night headliner features No. 5-ranked Grand Valley State hosting No. 4 Colorado Mines. Reigning national champion and preseason-ranked No. 1 Ferris State will begin defense of its crown when it entertains Central Washington at Top Taggart Field in Big Rapids. 

In other Thursday action, Saginaw Valley State will host West Virginia Wesleyan, Northern Michigan is home versus McKendree and Michigan Tech faces UW-Platteville in Houghton.

On Saturday, Davenport is at Truman and Wayne State travels to meet No. 23 Slippery Rock.
