GLIAC -- Week 6 of the 2022 GLIAC Football season features four games scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 8.

Defending national champion and No. 1-ranked Ferris State (4-0) will open GLIAC play when it visits No. 25 Saginaw Valley State (4-1, 0-1 GLIAC). A year ago, the Bulldogs topped the Cardinals, 47-45, in Big Rapids.

Second-ranked Grand Valley State (5-0) is the lone conference team to step outside league play this weekend, as the Lakers are set to travel to Springfield, Mass. to face American International (0-4) of the NE10.

Davenport (4-0, 1-0 GLIAC) will put its unblemished 2022 record on the line on Saturday when it meets Northern Michigan (3-2, 1-0 GLIAC) at the Superior Dome in Marquette.

Michigan Tech (1-4, 0-1 GLIAC) will square off with Wayne State (1-4, 0-1 GLIAC) in Houghton as part of the Huskies' Homecoming celebration.
