BAY CITY, Mich. - Wayne State University junior guard Mike Hollingsworth (Utica, Mich.) and Malone University junior guard Isiah Elliott (Canton, Ohio) have been chosen as the GLIAC Men's Basketball North and South Division "Players of the Week", respectively.

Wayne State University junior Mike Hollingsworth helped the Warriors to a pair of home court victories last week. He had eight points and three assists in the first half against Ashland as WSU built a 40-21 lead at intermission. In the second half, Hollingsworth added six points and another three assists. He totaled 11 points, four rebounds and two assists in the first 20 minutes of Sunday’s contest against Lake Erie. For the week, he averaged 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 68 percent (15-of-22) from the field.

Malone University junior Isiah Elliott led Malone to a pair of GLIAC road victories last week by averaging 17.0 points, seven rebounds, 3.5 assists and three steals per game. The junior point guard tossed in a game-high 19 points with six rebounds, four assists and three steals in the Pioneers’ 90-83 victory at Lake Superior State on Thursday. He then nailed a game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer on Saturday to give Malone a thrilling 63-60 win at Northwood. On the week, Elliott shot 38% from the field, 56% from three-point range, and 82% from the foul line.
