BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced weekly men's basketball awards after back-to-back league contests to begin the 2016 calendar year. Hillsdale senior forward Kyle Cooper captured GLIAC North Division Player of the Week honors, while Ashland junior guard Boo Osborne collected GLIAC South Division Player of the Week accolades.

Highlights: Senior forward Kyle Cooper had a monster weekend in leading the Chargers to a pair of wins over Walsh and Malone. He tied his career-high with 41 points in a 94-90 win over the Cavs Saturday, following that up with a 25-point, 11-rebound performance in a 73-70 victory over the Pioneers Sunday. In the two games, Cooper shot 63 percent from the field, played 78 of a possible 80 minutes, and averaged 11 rebounds per game. He was 14-for-15 from the free throw line and shot 40 percent from 3-point territory in the two wins. He's the GLIAC's leading scorer at 23.9 points per game. |

Highlights: Osborne posted a career-high with 23 points and 11 rebounds at Northwood on Saturday for No. 16 Ashland before recording a new career-high with 27 points at No. 18 Lake Superior State on Sunday. Osborne nailed 10 3-pointers on weekend after hitting 14 in first 10 games of season. Boo averaged 25.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, hitting 61.5 percent from field, 62.5 percent from 3-point range and 100 percent from the foul line. |
