KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Three Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) men's basketball teams appeared inside the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Top 25 Rankings unveiled on Wednesday, January 5th.
Lake Superior State improved five spots to No. 13 in the country after a big 82-76 win over Ashland who fell five positions from No. 16 to No. 21 this week. The Lakers also picked up an 89-80 victory over a gritty Lake Erie squad, while the Eagles defeated a quality Northwood team 91-74 on the road in the first game of the back-to-back weekend schedule.
LSSU is currently 11-1 on the season, including an impressive 6-0 in GLIAC contests. AU moved to 10-2 during the 2015-16 campaign and 4-2 in conference action.
Ferris State entered the rankings once again this season after a pair of three-point home victories over Findlay (72-69) and Wayne State (71-68) to improve to 10-2 overall on the year and 4-2 in league play.
