Ferris State got a huge three-pointer from Noah King with four-tenths of a second remaining in regulation to force overtime for the second consecutive game. King led Ferris State in scoring with 20 points and shot 50 percent from beyond the arc while adding three assists. He also scored his 1,000th career point in the win. Zach Hankins had a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds. Hankins came up with a critical offensive board and found King for the game-tying shot off a missed free throw.
NORTHWOOD DEF. DAVENPORT, 74-72 (OT) | BOX SCORE
Northwood's Trey McBride scored a game-high 24 points off the bench along with five assists and five steals in a dramatic overtime victory over Davenport. With one second remaining in OT, McBride was fouled shooting a three-pointer and went to the line trailing by one. McBride went on to make all three foul shots to give Northwood the two-point victory. Northwood used a 23-10 points off turnovers advantage to pull out the win.
LAKE SUPERIOR STATE DEF. NORTHERN MICHIGAN, 80-68 | BOX SCORE
Lake Superior State's Akaemji Williams posted a game-high 24 points on 10-of-18 shooting along with nine assists as the Lakers used a big second half to key the road win. NMU was paced by 21 points on 6-of-10 shooting from Will Carius in the defeat. LSSU owned the glass as they compiled a 43-27 rebounding advantage which led to a 36-26 points in the paint margin.
GRAND VALLEY STATE DEF. ASHLAND, 64-57 | BOX SCORE
GVSU held AU scoreless throughout the final 4:20 of the contest as the Lakers finished the game on a 10-0 run to earn the big home win. Grand Valley State gained a 35-27 rebounding edge and shot 45.5 percent on the night while holding AU to 38.8 percent shooting. GVSU's Jake Van Tubbergen recorded a double-double with 18 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks in the victory.
SAGINAW VALLEY DEF. WAYNE STATE, 78-71 | BOX SCORE
Saginaw Valley fired 61.9 percent in the second half as the Cardinals overcame a 12-point halftime deficit to outscore Wayne State 52-37 in the second half to pull out the victory. SVSU has won its third contest in a row thanks to their aggressiveness which allowed them to go 30-for-35 from the foul stripe. D.J. Hoskins scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Cardinals who put five players in double figures. WSU was led by Marcus Moore's 21 points and 10 rebounds.
PURDUE NORTHWEST DEF. TIFFIN, 60-59 | BOX SCORE
Purdue Northwest's Chris Nunn canned a pair of free throws with five second remaining to give the Pride a 1-point lead and the eventual win after a Tiffin 3-point attempt was blocked by Tyree Coe at the buzzer. Franklin Nunn posted a game-high 17 points going 8-for-8 from the line, while Torrance Johnson recorded 14 points and pulled down 13 rebounds in the win. PNW went 18-for-22 on free throw attempts on the night, while TU was 9-of-10.
