The Panthers (26-3) edged the Timberwolves (12-17), 85-84, in a game that included 17 lead changes, and they moved on to host the semifinal and final rounds Saturday and Sunday. DU plays Northern Michigan (17-11) at 3 p.m., and No. 3 seed Parkside (16-11) takes on No. 7 seed Grand Valley State (17-12) at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. During the regular season, Davenport split with NMU, losing 77-63 in Marquette on Jan. 17 and winning, 74-71, at home on Feb. 23. The league's three most-prolific scorers will square off in the third meeting between the two teams. Davenport's Dyllon Hudson-Emory scored 25 and 22 points against the Wildcats. NMU's Naba Echols and Isaiah Johnson averaged 20 and 17.5 points, respectively, against the Panthers.

Parkside played its first-ever GLIAC regular-season contest against GVSU on Nov. 29 and lost, 88-77. The Rangers beat the Lakers later in the year in Allendale, 80-79 in overtime. UWP was 11-for-23 from behind the arc in the rematch, which included a combined 38 turnovers by the two teams. That game also included 16 lead changes.
