GLIAC - The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its 2019 All-GLIAC Men's Basketball Teams, as well as player of the year, freshman of the year and coach of the year. Awards were presented at the GLIAC Men's Basketball Tournament banquet Friday at Davenport University.

The Flint, Mich., native finished the regular season averaging 12.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 6.1 assists. His 170 assists this season rank second on the Northwood single-season list. Lewis dished out at least eight assists 10 times this season. Lewis is the second Northwood player to win GLIAC Freshman of the Year, joining Aaron Simpson (2006).
COACH OF THE YEAR - Burt Paddock - Davenport
Burt Paddock, in his 11th season at Davenport, guided the Panthers to the athletic program's first GLIAC regular-season title since they joined the league in 2017-18. Davenport heads into the 2019 GLIAC Tournament semifinals with a league-best 17-3 record (26-3 overall) and 13-game win streak. The Panthers lead the GLIAC in steals per game (9.4) and free throws made per game (17.0). They rank second in the league in scoring offense (83.1 ppg) and fourth in scoring defense (70.9). Paddock built a team with a balanced attack, including six players averaging 9.9 or more points per game, and two who rank among the GLIAC top 10 in scoring.
