NCAA releases latest Midwest Region Poll

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Ashland men and Grand Valley State women lead Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams in the latest NCAA DII Midwest Region Basketball Polls, which include games through Feb. 24.

Drury is the top women's team with a 26-0 record, followed by Lewis (23-3) and Grand Valley State (23-2). Ashland (25-2) is fourth, Northern Michigan (19-7) fifth and Michigan Tech (19-8) 10th.

The Ashland men's team is 17-5 and ranked fifth in the region. Ferris State (16-10) is seventh and Northern Michigan (15-11) is nine. Lewis leads the men's poll at 18-4. GLIAC men's basketball regular-season champion Davenport is not eligible for the NCAA Tournament until it achieves full Division II status in 2019-20.

The GLIAC basketball regular season concludes tonight with Ferris State at Lake Superior State, Wayne State at Ashland, Northern Michigan at Michigan Tech, Saginaw Valley State at Northwood, Davenport at Grand Valley State, and Parkside at Purdue Northwest.

GLIAC Tournament quarterfinal play begins Tuesday, March 5.
