Indianapolis — Ferris State and Davenport will represent the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) in the 2022 NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Championship.
The two teams learned of their postseason invitations and destinations on Sunday night during the annual NCAA Selection Show.
First round games are scheduled for Friday, March 11. All games will be played at Alumni Arena on the campus of Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio.
Ferris State (21-8), regular season co-champions of the GLIAC, is the No. 2 seed in the Midwest Region and will meet Findlay (19-10) at 2:30 p.m. If the Bulldogs advance they will play the winner of No. 3 Hillsdale vs. No. 6 Cedarville.
Davenport (17-13), coming off its run to the GLIAC Tournament title, is the No. 8 seed. The Panthers, who are making their first NCAA postseason appearance in program history, will square off with No. 1 seed Walsh (23-6) at 5 p.m. Should DU get past Walsh, it will take on either No. 4 seed Truman State or No. 5 seed Missouri-St. Louis.
