Parkside's Bello earns GLIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors

GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced that Parkside sophomore guard Rasheed Bello has been named GLIAC Player of the Week following the opening weekend of the 2022-23 men's basketball season. 


PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Rasheed Bello, Parkside

University of Wisconsin-Parkside sophomore Rasheed Bello was a key contributor as the Rangers started the 2022-23 season 2-0. Bello played in 68 of a possible 80 minutes over the two games and averaged 19.5 points per game on the weekend. The bigger of his two performances came on Saturday night as Bello poured in 22 points, including three threes in the Rangers’ 74-66 comeback win over Ashland. The Chicago, Ill. native shot just over 55 percent from the floor over the opening two games while shooting 45.5 percent from beyond the arc. Bello also averaged four rebounds per game and six assists per game over the opening weekend. Additionally, Bello had four steals over the two games, including three in the win over Ashland.
