Bay City, Mich.--The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced today the Spring 2009 All-Academic Teams. 564 student-athletes from twelve institutions were honored in the following sports; baseball, softball, men and women's golf, men's tennis and men and women's outdoor track and field. To be eligible for all-academic status, the student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0, on a 4.0 scale, and must not be a freshman or first year transfer.
BLAINE, Wash. - Wayne State University senior golfer Steve Cuzzort (Grosse Ile, Mich.) and Ferris State University senior Kelbi Lee (Billings, Mont.) were selected to the Division II PING All-America teams, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America following Friday's final round of the NCAA Championship.

Blaine, Wash. -- Ferris State capped off its 2008-09 season by claiming eighth place with a four-round 1,196 team score at the 2009 NCAA Division II Mens Golf Championships (May 19-22) at the Loomis Trail Golf Club course in Blaine, Wash. Wayne State finished in 13th place following the conclusion of the fourth and final round of the NCAA Division II Mens Golf Championship.

Owens Cross Roads, Ala. - The Golf Coaches Association of America announced its Division II PING All-America teams on Friday, May 23, and Grand Valley State University's Josh Orler earned Honorable Mention plaudits. Orler, a senior from Mason, Mich., tied for 18th place at the NCAA Division II National Championships.
Houston, Tx. - Grand Valley State University's men's golf team finished its season with a 14th place finish in the NCAA National Championships. Josh Orler led the Lakers, shooting a 72 on the fourth day and finishing with a four-day total of 285, tying him for 18th place. GVSU finished the meet with a four-day total of 1156.
