Tiffin Dragons Win 2014 GLIAC Men's Golf Championship, Walsh's Paxos Earns Medalist Honors 

GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- The Tiffin Dragons have claimed the 2014 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Men's Golf Championship by a 12-stroke margin after a final round 8-under par score of 280 to finish at 8-under par 856 three-day total at Cherry Blossom Golf Club in Kentucky. The Dragons, coached by Darby Roggow, were led by John Tidenberg (-5), Brett Green (-1), Tyler Maranville (E), Luke Schlicher (+2) and Tyler Schepens (+6).

In the individual contest, Nick Paxos from Walsh University claimed medalist honors by one stroke with a 3-under par round of 69 to finish at 7-under par 209 for the championship. Paxos fired rounds of 69, 71 and 69 to earn the outright individual accolades.

SPECTATOR INFORMATION

Spectator Guidelines

Spectators must remain on cart paths or in the rough and approximately 15 yards from the players at all times (including all designated practice areas). There may be NO communication between players and spectators that could be deemed as advice of any nature for the duration of the 18 (54) holes. All institutional personnel, with the exception of the designated coach, are considered spectators. Ringers on electronic devices must be turned off. A limited number of Carts will be provided for spectators.

Since all NCAA championships are considered smoke-free, spectators will be asked to refrain from smoking except in designated areas. Failure to adhere to these policies could result in removal from the course.

Violation/Penalties: First – Warning

Second – Spectator will be removed from the course for the remainder of the day

Third – Spectators will be removed from course for the remainder of the competition

Disabled Spectators

Carts are provided to fans watching the golf tournament on a first come, first serve basis. However, if disabled spectators need the use of a cart, the individual must provide medical documentation and the individual’s Information should be provided in advance. If approved, spectators will be permitted to reserve a cart.
