NASHPORT, Ohio -- The Grand Valley State Lakers (+18), led by Alex Scott's 3-under par 69, recorded a 291 (+3) total in the second round of the 2018 GLIAC Men's Golf Championships at The Virtues Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio. Scott posted five birdies and two bogeys, including a back-nine total of 2-under par 34 as the Lakers take a 13-stroke advantage into Sunday's final round.
GVSU was aided with an even-par round from Mitchell White, while Domenic Mancinelli shot 1-over par 73 to lead back-up Scott's stellar round. Tiffin sits in second at +31 as the Dragons received a 72 from Logan Price, while Jordan Bollenbacher posted 73 with Jay Green carding 74.
Individually, Ashland's Austin Kondratick holds a slim one-stroke edge over a pair of GVSU Lakers in Alex Scott and Mitchell White at 2-over par total. Ferris State's Andrew Hammett and GVSU's Mancinelli are tied for fourth at 4-over par 148.
