GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced it's weekly awards following the seventh week of the 2019 Season. Grand Valley St. senior Katie Chipman claimed top honors in women's action, while Fellow Laker Charles Delong earned accolades on the men's side.

WOMEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK:  Katie Chipman - Grand Valley St. 

Senior Katie Chipman won the Chippewa Invitational this week by shooting a 3-under 141 at Birmingham Country Club in Birmingham, Mich. GVSU, who has placed in the top-four in four out of five tournaments this fall, finished third at the Chippewa Invitational.  The Plymouth, Mich. native now has 11 tournament wins in her career.

MEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK: Charles DeLong - Grand Valley St. 

Freshman Charles DeLong won his second event of the fall after shooting an 8-under 134 at the Davenport Panther Invitational held at Stoatin Brae Golf Club earlier this week. The Dewitt, Mich. native also won the Don Underwood Invitational to open the fall season at The Meadows in Allendale, Mich. by shooting a 3-under 210. As a team, the Lakers finished second at the Panther Invite.
