Kansas City, Kan. -- Northwood University's and Tiffin University's men's soccer programs earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award. To receive the award a program must have posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2010-11 academic year.
Northwood, which advanced to the NCAA Regional for the first time in school history this year, had a team grade point average of 3.09 for the 2010-11 academic year.
Tiffin finished the 2011 season as Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament Champions. The Dragon's also posted a 3.34 grade point average during the 2010-11 academic year.
