Ohio Dominican's Justin Wheeler Named GLIAC Men's Soccer "Athlete of the Week"

BAY CITY, Mich. - Ohio Dominican University senior midfielder Justin Wheeler (Gahanna, Ohio/Gahanna) earned GLIAC Men's Soccer "Athlete of the Week" honors after helping snap a two-game losing streak as the Panthers went 2-0 against Notre Dame College and Lake Erie College.

Last week, senior Justin Wheeler helped snap a two-game losing streak as the Panthers went 2-0 against Notre Dame College and Lake Erie College. Wheeler scored the game winning goal to top Notre Dame College 2-1. The goal ended the Falcons 22 game win streak, which had included 18 consecutive home wins, which started on Oct. 27, 2009. At the 73:42 mark, Wheeler sent the ball flying into the back of the net from 25 yards out after a goalie clear. It was his second goal of the season and 10th of his career. Wheeler leads all Panthers in goals scored with two and is in the top-10 in the GLIAC. He is tied for fourth in the conference in shots taken with 17.
