Grand Valley State Women & Saginaw Valley Men Ranked No. 3 in NSCAA Polls

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Four Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men’s and women’s soccer teams combined appeared in the 2014 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) regular season poll released on October 1.

Grand Valley State women’s soccer team moved up one spot to third with an overall record of 6-1-0. Saginaw Valley women’s team jumped up three spots to No. 18 after not allowing one goal during the week en route to a win and a draw.

On the men’s side, SVSU moved back one spot to third with an overall record of 6-0-1 while Tiffin also fell one spot to 16th with a record of 5-1-1. The Cardinals clipped the Dragons in Tiffin in a wild overtime affair, 3-2.

The men of Ohio Dominican is unofficially the 26th ranked team in the country, as they received nine votes and are the first team listed on the others receiving votes category. .
