UWP's Prpa Earns United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American Honors

UNITED SOCCER COACHES - This week the United Soccer Coaches announced the 2019 Scholar All-Region and All-American Teams highlighting the student-athletes academic and athletic achievements. Parkside's Leki Prpa was the lone standout representing the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) on the 2019 United Soccer Coaches Men's NCAA Division II Scholar Teams. 

Prpa started in all 21 games for Parkside, tying for the team lead in assists (11) and second on the team in goals (7). At the conclusion of the regular season, he led the GLIAC in points with 24. The Wind Lake, Wis. native had an award filled season, highlighted by an All-GLIAC First Team selection and Academic All-American selection. Prpa was also named to the United Soccer Coaches All-American Team. 

 

To be eligible for Scholar All-Region recognition, student-athletes must meet the following criteria:

  • 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) or better throughout career
  • Started more than 50 percent of all games and significantly contribute to their team
  • Nominated by head coach of current College Services member institution
  • Junior or above in academic standing; and, if a transfer student, in second year at school
