UWP's Prpa, PNW's Hooper Earn GLIAC Men's Soccer Weekly Awards

GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards following the final week of the 2019 men's soccer regular season. Parkside senior Lekl Prpa earned GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week accolades, while Purdue Northwest Defender Harrison Hooper claimed GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.


OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Leki Prpa - Parkside 

Leki Prpa continued his good form and led Parkside to a conference-clinching, 3-2 win over Northern Michigan during the week. Prpa had a goal and two assists during the game and has now registered 17 points in his last seven contests. At the conclusion of the regular season, he tops the GLIAC leader board in points with 24 and assists with 10.


DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Harrison Hooper - Purdue Northwest

No. 14 Harrison Hooper is a freshman at Purdue University Northwest, appearing in every game during the 2019 season. As a defender for the Pride, he has proved critical in their defensive lineup. He has acquired the most minutes played during the season for the Pride with no goals scored against him. During last week's contest against Upper Iowa, Harrison played all ninety minutes for the Pride, helping to keep the shots on his home goalie down to one.
