GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards following the ninth week of the 2019 men's soccer season. Parkside senior Lekl Prpa earned GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week accolades, while Teammate goalkeeper Juan Gonzalez claimed GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Leki Prpa - Parkside
Leki Prpa continued his strong season and helped Parkside keep the top GLIAC spot over the weekend. Against Ashland, Prpa scored two goals and added an assist in the Rangers' 6-0 win. Then on Sunday, Prpa scored Parkside's lone goal and guided the team to a crucial result against Davenport. Leki's big weekend also moved him into a tie for first place in the GLIAC for points.
