GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards following Week 10 of the 2021 men's soccer season. Davenport junior forward Justice Sikkema was named GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week while Upper Iowa freshman defender Brady Drozdowski claimed the GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week award.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Justice Sikkema - Davenport
Junior forward Justice Sikkema (North Muskegon, Mich.) helped the Panthers clinch a share of the conference regular-season championship with a goal and assist in DU's 3-1 win last Thursday at Purdue Northwest. The junior forward continued to build on his single-season high with his eighth goal which came in the 22nd minute off a free kick. He then assisted on the game-winning goal by Evan Marquess in the 58th minute. He now has a total of 19 points this season and also snapped a five-match, goal-less streak as DU set a new program record with their 10th GLIAC win in a season.
