GLIAC -- Parkside and Davenport each captured a share of the 2021 GLIAC men's soccer championship on Thursday afternoon, on the final day of regular season play.
Parkside and Davenport each finished with 10-3-1 conference records, splitting their regular season meetings. The Rangers downed Northern Michigan, 3-0, in Marquette and the Panthers topped Purdue Northwest, 3-1, in Hammond to secure the co-championship.
With the regular season in the books, the bracket for the 2021 GLIAC Tournament has been finalized. Based on tiebreakers, Parkside earned the No. 1 seed while Davenport will serve as the No. 2 seed. Both teams will have a first round bye.
Saginaw Valley State is the No. 3 seed followed by Purdue Northwest (No. 4), Upper Iowa (No. 5) and Northern Michigan (No. 6)
Saginaw Valley will host Northern Michigan and Purdue Northwest will host Upper Iowa in quarterfinal action on Monday, Nov. 8
The semifinals (Friday, Nov. 12) and final (Sunday, Nov. 14) will take place on the Parkside campus in Kenosha, Wis.
