BAY CITY, Mich. - The University of Indianapolis senior Maura Donahue (Milan, Mich./Milan) and freshman Dawid Rybinski (Wroclaw, Poland) were named Great Lake Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Women's and Men's Swimming & Diving "Athletes of the Week," respectively, for their efforts last weekend.

University of Indianapolis senior Maura Donahue set a personal best by recording the 17th fastest time in the country this season to win the 200 individual medley in a NCAA "B" standard of 2:07.68 in Saturday's dual meet victory against Lewis. That time also moved Donahue into third in UIndy history in the event. She came back to swim the fastest time in the individual 100 free (53.28) and then swam 53.49 as the lead 100 split in UIndy's 400 free relay that had the best time of 3:36.21.

Dawid Rybinksi swam the third-fastest time in the country and best
in the GLIAC this season in the 1,000 freestyle by winning the
event in Saturday's dual victory against Lewis in a NCAA "B"
standard time of 9:21.56. That also moves Rybinski into second
all-time at UIndy in the event. He came back to swim the fastest
time in the individual 100 free in 47.66 and then swam the same
distance even faster (46.68) as the best 100 split in UIndy's 400
free relay that had the top time of 3:09.12.
