FSU's Munoz Baroja Named GLIAC Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week

BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its third men's tennis weekly awards for the 2017 campaign. Ferris State's Pablo Munoz Baroja has been named GLIAC Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week.


ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - Pablo Munoz Baroja, Ferris State

Ferris State freshman Pablo Munoz Baroja went unbeaten in singles action on FSU's spring break trip to Texas and Oklahoma last week as the rookie standout finished 3-0 at number six singles in matches against three nationally top-20 ranked schools. The first-year athlete won all three of his outings at the sixth position in straight-sets and was one of only two FSU players to go unbeaten in singles competition in outings against Cameron, Midwestern State and Southeastern Oklahoma, who were all ranked in the top 20 in the country. He won all three of his matches in straight sets for the nation's 20th-ranked Bulldogs, who now own a 6-2 overall mark this year.
