GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its final men's tennis weekly awards of the 2018 campaign. Wayne State freshman Niklas Karcz has been named GLIAC Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week.
ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - Niklas Karcz, Wayne State
Wayne State freshman Niklas Karcz was 6-0 in three matches against Northwood, Michigan Tech and Lake Superior State, winning all of his contests in the second singles flight and first doubles flight with sophomore Mats Westkamp. In singles, Karcz is 17-5 in dual meets, 7-1 in the GLIAC and 4-1 when playing at No. 2. With Westkamp, he’s 5-1 in doubles play.
