GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its seventh men's tennis weekly awards for the 2018 campaign. Grand Valley State sophomore Jack Geissler has been named GLIAC Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week.
ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - Jack Geissler, Grand Valley State
Grand Valley State sophomore Jack Geissler had a stellar performance this past weekend, where he played from No. 2 singles and doubles on the weekend. Geissler helped the Lakers improve to 10-4 on the season and 2-0 in conference play, after he posted a 4-0 record with matches against Michigan Tech and Lake Superior State. In singles action against Michigan Tech, Geissler won 6-1, 6-0, while adding another 6-2, 6-0 win against Lake Superior State. In doubles, Geissler paired up with DJ Coantone, as the duo won 8-2 against Michigan Tech, followed by an 8-6 win against Lake Superior State.
