BAY CITY, Mich. - The University of Findlay junior Tim Sanders (Delphos, Ohio/Jefferson) and Lake Superior State University senior Jason Brenton (Grand Junction, Colo.) have been chosen as the GLIAC Men's Indoor Track & Field "Athletes of the Week."

Tim Sanders had a hand in two first place finishes last weekend for the Oilers. Sanders took first in the 60-meter hurdles at the Buckeye Tune-Up on Friday with a NCAA provisional time of 8.05 and then teamed with John Guagenti, Shawnathan Fort and Curtis Smithey to win the 4x400-meter relay at Kent State. Their time of 3:14.39 was a NCAA automatic qualifying mark. Sanders also added a fifth place finish in the 60-meter hurdles at Kent State on Saturday, crossing the finish line in 8.41.

Senior - Grand Junction, Colo.
Jason Brenton won the triple jump at the NMU Northern Challenge last Saturday. His distance of 15.10 meters (49-6 1/2) leads the region and ranks fifth nationally heading into this weekend's GLIAC Championships. Brenton was a three-time Division II All-American at a previous school.
