Ashland's Baum and Grey Chosen As GLIAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field "Athletes of the Week"

BAY CITY, Mich. - Ashland University sophomore Brian Baum (Marlington, Ohio) and senior Garrett Grey (Grahamsville, N.Y./Tri-Valley) have been chosen as the GLIAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field "Athletes of the Week."

Marlington, Ohio

Ashland University sophomore Brian Baum was second in the 800 at the Ashland University Alumni Open. His time of 1:49.84 broke the facility record. Baum is third in the country in the 800 (1:49.84) and seventh in the 1500 (3:47.66

 

 

 

 

 

GLIAC Men's Outdoor Field "Athlete of the Week":

 

 

Garrett Grey - Ashland University
Senior - Grahamsville, N.Y./Tri-Valley

Ashland University senior Garrett Gray finished fourth in the men's elite hammer throw last weekend at the Ashland University Alumni Open. His mark of 221-9 is the best in the nation and it is an automatic qualifier for the national meet.
